Chelsea Pensioners Visit

Chelsea Pensioners Visit

INTRANSIT welcomed back what will certainly be one of the most recognizable groups to visit the island this year.

The bright red uniforms of the Chelsea Pensioners always add a splash of colour to the many events they attend while on their annual trip.

Twelve members of the Royal Chelsea Hospital made the trip ad Intransit provided the transport for the duration of their stay, as we have done for the last 10 years.

The lads enjoyed a number of island tours, sightseeing but also fulfilled many official duties while in Guernsey such as the Liberation Day Parade, Liberation Tea Dance and enjoyed an audience with the Bailiff at the Royal Court.

The trip went without any hitches and as ever the Pensioners all enjoyed their short stay on the island.

We may have to have a word about their timekeeping, though, as they did keep us waiting for a bit after the Liberation Ball. Apparently there were a few who did not want to get off the dance floor!

Thanks

May I take this opportunity to thank you and your team for always being there when we needed you! And for being so flexible whenever arrangements changed at the last minute.

We also really appreciate the financial support, especially in the current financial climate when things are so difficult for everybody. Thank you for continuing to support us.
